Washwasha Lattafa Perfumes (Aahana)
To be honest I didn't like it initially as i found it was a normal floral fragrance nothing wow was there ...but then 😍 i don't know what happened i started loving this a lot better than before , its like grt for summers ,very light yet beautiful ...now i have become obsessed with this ... though iam sure that still it is simple white floral fragrance bt now it has a little depth to it ..it starts with a little citrusy little sweet then white flowers take place with is perfectly well blended with Amber, tonka and vanilla , this makes the drydown creamy powdery ..in short If u like floral powdery a bit soapy and creamy yet fresh fragrance then u r gonna love this for sure ...its simple yet elegant in my opinion 🤤
Red Hibiscus Cologne Intense Jo Malone London (susieq1234)
A review from only a few tests. The first impressions is a warm, summery, fresh, beachy feeling. It is soft rater than intense and with very little projection. The drydown is a nice association with babyoil on warm skin. Very short lasting. All in all a nice scent but you will not be noticed.
Loukhoum Keiko Mecheri (KumoKing)
Absolutely gorgeous almond, rose, powder fragrance. The dry down is the most expensive baby powder scent you'll ever smell which is a great thing to me - extremely warm and comforting. This one lasts hours and hours. It's a joy to get little whiffs of this throughout the day. One of my very favorite scents.
Vert Boheme Tom Ford (SeasideSherlock)
Vert Boheme is a sour green splash in the face. Unripe green apples and grass are the main notes I get from this. It’s super tart and fresh, and really natural; there’s not even a hint of artificial fragrance in here. For the first couple of hours, projection is OK and after that, it turns into a smooth skin scent which is a lot less “splash in the face” and more smooth, “warm summer’s day.” Although some people may not be too impressed by the silage, I personally wouldn’t want to be filling a room with this when I walked in. Getting a subtle hint every now again is quite enough, for such a sharp fragrance. Wearability is really good in the summer, and fits a lot of occasions and so you’ll get good use out of it if you buy a bottle. Do try before purchase though, as it’s certainly different from all the other green fragrances I’ve tried.
Angels' Share By Kilian (Superfly_angel)
Unfortunately I get the “toothpaste” thing from this. Starts off great on my skin and I fully enjoy the first hour or so, then the mint toothpaste enters the chat and never leaves :( I wonder what note gives that impression? Longevity is insane, wore it at 18:00 last night, it’s currently 09:00 and it’s so prominent on my skin! Great for nights out where you want to be noticed and different. I think it leans more masculine than feminine, and more suited to the cold weather but wear what you like. Wouldn’t recommend for a blind buy even for gourmand lovers. It’s sweet, yes, but with a twist so defo one to try first. Price wise… er… overpriced but what’s new? Nice packaging but overall not my cup of tea… or glass of cognac in this case :D
Santal Noir Dior (AnnaEMHG)
I don't have an 'educated nose' but this is incredibly elegant. I get rose, sandalwood, oud and musk. Far exceeds Our Rosewood on my skin as that was headache inducing. This would work all year round and is completely unisex. A very accomplished fragrance.
Vengeance Extreme Juliette Has A Gun (AnnaEMHG)
Tested yesterday afternoon and I can still smell it on my wrist the next day! Impressive! Lovely deep, musky rose. Not an elegant or sophisticated fragrance, I would say. If you want a more chic take on this I would go to Eau Capitale.
Terre d'Hermes Hermès (MarkoPeeko)
That grapefruit, pepper and vetiver vibe going on here is fantastic. My go-to. Prefer the EDP to this, but this is still a projection bomb. Fresher than a mid-winter’s morning. One that should always be in your collection.
Apple Brandy on the Rocks By Kilian (dovileivaskev)
@17seyed thank you for the good news, because I'm waiting for restock of Single Malt for ages....and was a little scared that maybe it will be discontinued.
Grain de Poudre Yves Saint Laurent (ilsagold)
I blind bought a decant of this. Didn't detect any pepper or coriander. Very obvious sage and violet leave at the beginning lasted one hour. Then musk gradually starts dominating sage while violet still trying to keep up with it for another hour or two. After the 3rd-hour musk goes on and on for 10 hours alone! Not much powdery but a bit of like body cream. This has nothing to do with Fahrenheit. It reminds me of Zegna's Florentine Iris EDP. They are both feminines perfumes. It wouldn't be too odd for a man to use though. As a man, I'd chose Burberry Touch for Men for a violet musk fragrance. Also, pepper is more obvious in that. I agree with the higher quality ingredients, nothing scratchy here. That's why I'll finish my decant but it is just OK. Can be used year-round.
Twice Pour Homme Iceberg (Llaszlo)
If the 90's could smell it would be the official scent for it. This is absolute lovely! Make me feel happy and it puts a smile on me whenever I wear it. It won't be everyone's cup of tea but it works great on me. Strong and quite unique type of citrus blast all the way with sweet vanilla and some flowers. Sample it before you buy it! Ps: I love the bottle design, I think it's brilliant. The cap somehow reminds me the stormtroopers's hat from Star Wars :-)
Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum (2016) Guerlain (MarkoPeeko)
It’s a toss-up between this and Guerlain vetiver for my favourite frag from this house. The minty opening (almost a sweet mojito vibe happening) dries down into one of the most amazing scents. I wore this in the office a couple of weeks back and it wasn’t long before someone shouted up asking what I was wearing. The projection and longevity for $50 is stupendous. It’s one of those scents you can still get a faint whiff of the next morning. If you want a go-to scent, have this one in your collection. Bravo, Guerlain.
Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme Chanel (KJS88)
I enjoy the whole Allure line because even if overpriced, they just smell good, they’re super versatile, and they’re well received. I smell the original Chanel Allure Homme a lot on office professionals in my city in the cooler months, but rarely smell Sport and Sport Eau Extreme despite them being readily accessible. By far, of all the Chanel men’s fragrances, Sport Eau Extreme is the most Chanel-like. I can’t escape the feel/presence of classic Chanel aldehydes when I smell this, and I smell it strongly. My mother also picks this up, and says this is why it’s one of her favourite male perfumes. Fresh, slightly spicy tonka beans with with well-polished wood (citrus scented polish, of course) and sparkling but warm aldehydes. Really good stuff, but I can’t help but think Chanel could benefit from rationalising or overhauling the Allure Homme line. Allure Homme Sport Extreme is hardly sporty and as with Sport Cologne (which I hated, but that’s another story), I don’t see how it fits in with the aesthetic of Allure Sport or even Allure. It makes more sense to call it’s something like “Allure Noir” or “Allure Soir.”
Carved Oud Thameen (AMajeedQT)
A slightly oudier version of Tom Ford Oud Wood. Carved Oud is all about the guaiac wood: clean, cool, woody. The guaiac is made oudier & more oriental by the oud note with a ratio that's about 80:20 guaiac to oud. The patchouli adds a mild green grassy touch at the drydown. The patchouli/guaiac mix gives a cardamom-like smell. Very woody, clean, cool, cardamomy, relatively-oudy, mildly green. It smells a lot like Tom Ford Oud Wood. About identical. However, I find Carved Oud a little oudier, which makes it a nicer, but I'm only judging against Oud Wood by memory. Had this been more affordable, I would've recommend it but at it's ridiculous price, I can not. It is just not justifiable. You are better off getting Oud Wood Intense for a proper oud fragrance, if you can find it discounted. Cool weather, leans masculine, decent scent, but the the price vs scent aspect makes it look terrible. "Like"
Dune Pour Homme Dior (anoncan)
Effectivement... Ça sent la feuille de figue. Je viens de le recevoir... Et c est spécial. Pas de roses, pas de fraîcheur ni de promenades sur la plage... Que du figuier !!! Évitez l achat à l aveugle.
Derby Club House Blanche Armaf (MarkoPeeko)
At first, I wondered what the hell I’d done. The initial spray brought nothing. A weak tea scent with a slight whiff of citrus. So I sprayed some more. And that’s the key. Ok, it’s an EDT, but there’s something about this scent that gets better with time. I’m unsure if it’s my batch but the more I get into the bottle, the better it gets. I’m about 20ml in and it’s bloody fantastic. In the morning (around 6am), I spray my shirt twice on the collar and I spray my neck 3-4 times. And it lasts until midday. I’ve had a couple of compliments this week. Projection is OK if you get the sprays right. Longevity is OK, too. Maybe top up again midday and you’re set until around 5pm/6pm. Overall, it’s a classy scent. Green tea and citrus leading to a flowery/tea dry down. Probably best for those spring months. Well worth the $30 AUD. A repeat buy.
Light Blue Forever Dolce&Gabbana (ELR)
Today I came to the realization that I am a Light Blue Hoe. I've smelled about 5 different Light Blue fragrances recently and wanted to bathe myself in every single one of them. This is no exception. It is Light Blue but with white florals taking the forefront instead of the citruses. It is white floral, zesty, musky and lightly sweet/woody - very feminine. I could wear this year round as it is slightly deeper than many other Light Blues, plus *HALLELUJAH* it is an EDP. It makes me sad that because this is not a copy pasted version of the OG Light blue, people hate on it. It has similarities to the original but is very much its own fragrance - meaning its not redundant to own both, which can be the case in many flankers. Beautiful addition to the line IMHO.
Craze Noir Armaf (MarkoPeeko)
Bought this one in error thinking it was the original Craze. Not a bad EDP. Disappointing projection and longevity for an EDP. On my skin, I get plenty of almond and vanilla with a dash of lavender. 4-6 hours later it’s a barely noticeable skin scent. For $40 AUD, it’ll do as a day scent for the office. Not worth the money if you’re after something impressive.
Spirito Fiorentino Tiziana Terenzi (spumyland)
To my nose this is full of roses and derivatives. Initially medicinal, with a strong saffron, some harsh woods, indolic florals, animalic fruity leather and acute musks. But above all a sweet rose jam, wet, fresh and sour. It softens a bit by drying creamy but still smoky and pounding. Rather strong at the start, cheeky, long lasting. More feminine, this on my skin reminded me of makeup removers. The trail is long, less spicy and more floral. It is noted. Sour, sticky and fruity leather.
Unforgivable Women Sean John (Sweet69)
I just love this ..and bought another back up bottle. It's very soft but sexy And .. It's very different on its own wave . I think so many ppl don't allow this a spot on their shelf! The projection lasts and it's soft and very beautiful in warm weather...or anytime. Can't get enough of it!
Let's Travel To New York For Woman Mandarina Duck (How do I Smell)
It smells nice. Loosely similar to D&G Light Blue but sadly on me the skin scent vanishes nearly instantly. I’ll give it another few tries and apply more liberally. It is a beautiful summer scent, cool and fresh. I just wish I got a more out of it. Great price. I’ll spritz it in the car. 🤷♀️
Club De Nuit Sillage Armaf (ArmanH)
Islamic shop fragrance. 🕋🕌It's said by another reviewer, but I was thinking EXACTLY the same when I first smelled it.... It's not a problem, but similar Attar fragrances cost 1 dollar or less 😅 I have this, but I tried it once: in the morning during a fresh morning walk. I didn't find any other moment to wear this. It's so boring tbh. It's soft.... totally not my type of Scent....it has no character and no strong masculine vibe.
Gran Ballo Xerjoff (Flame Maiden)
I don't think it's anything exceptional but it is soft and feminine and musky enough to really enjoy the wear time. I feel sexy enough in it to wear it at night but it's also safe for work or day time too. It isn't offensive at all, you could wear this to dinner and not shove it down their throats. I'm not sure about the price, that's a personal situation, but for me it's so lovely and won't get overlooked in my collection. I think it's safe for any age but I feel it's a feminine fragrance.
Narciso Rodriguez for Her Eau de Parfum Narciso Rodriguez (LMC27)
Thankfully, I had a free sample of this and didn’t purchase because this is not for me, at all. I like musky scents but this just smelt off on my skin, but fortunately the longevity on my skin was very poor and so I didn’t have to live with it for long.
Chanel No 5 Parfum Chanel (olganbo)
I love it ! I know a lot of people say it smells like an old lady and I totally get it I think it's the powder smell who do that . For my part I feel like in a cloud when I wear this perfume , it's fresh , comforting and so luxurious . Moreover , I stays on the skin for a long time ! It's a10/10 for me
Florence Tocca (kosmos888)
Fragrance is obviously such a subjective thing. I know from experience that my nose doesn’t get along with the white florals listed here so this was a no brainer. I had a sample and knew I was going to dislike it. Which I did, but it was even worse than I thought it would be. It might actually be my least favourite perfume I’ve ever tried. I found it downright repulsive! At least some white florals are fresh and classy but this smells like rotten greenery or mold in my opinion
Rose Extase Nina Ricci (sincerelykayyx)
This perfume is quite nice. Fruity, sweet, creamy, and somewhat powdery rose. Does not smell like potpourri. Not too sweet and offensive. I personally can't do strong scents because of nausea. Based on that, contrary to what others have said, to me this is more of a night time fragrance. There is something a tad too sensual about it for day time although it's right at the cusp. A little back story that no one asked for: I know this is supposed to be a dupe for Delina, but that's not why I blind bought it. I actually bought it because I was looking for something similar to Oscar De La Renta's Bella Rosa, which I like but cannot stand the strong patchouli note in it. Through my research, my gut told me this was what I was looking for so I blind bought it. I was right! Not identical but the need had been met. Hopefully this little snippet will help those thinking to blind buy know what they're going get.
Brass & Soul Zaharoff (1uckynumb3r)
OK, maybe Justin is a nice guy, i haven t met him in person, but 119 $ for 60 ml without testing it before...Just because we think that Justin is a nice guy? Also, Vincent Kuczinski has a poorly portfolio, in my opinion..Look at the fragreances he made it..
Aqva Pour Homme Atlantiqve Bvlgari (Bradjohnson54)
Not a bad fragrance, but not for me. It performs very well and screams off of my skin. I have a 100mL with no More than 10 sprays gone that I’d be willing to part with for a low price PM me if interested.
FCUK Him FCUK (FragrantBob)
I really don't mind FCUK Him at all. It is a good, cheap gym bag fragrance or something to keep in your bag or locker at work for a hot day. It would also be a reasonable fragrance for a teenage boy as an every day use fragrance in the warmer months. It opens with woody rosemary notes and then settles with a synthetic lavender. I would describe FCUK Him as a synthetic soapie fragrance with some woody elements. It lasts about 4 to 5 hours on my skin with arm length projection for the first couple of hours. It's not a bad fragrance at all, but it does seem to get some dislikes from fragrance collectors. I would say that FCUK Him is an acceptable fragrance. I've worn it to work on hot days when I wanted a simple, subtle fragrance and it does the job.
Nawab of Oudh Ormonde Jayne (SearchingScents)
I am not enjoying any of what I'm smelling from the house of Ormonde Jayne so far. This one is the most bareable of the ones I've tried but still quite bad. Why are these priced so highly...? Why is its rating so high? I was expecting much, much more from these by the insane price they are asking and this perfumer people keep raving about online: Geza Schoen. This is very frustrating as these are some of the most synthetic smelling, alcohol stinging niche perfumes I've tried. I have recieved samples of these from a trusted boutique. There is absolutely no smoothness out of the first spray of Nawab of Oudh, much like the others that I will touch on. The first spray of this lands on my skin and projects a strong stinging perfumer's alcohol and pimento peppers. Even at dollar store prices, I have never been so appaled by the first spray of something especially something that claims "niche" status and asks $425 retail. WHAT!!! It takes 15 minutes for this to finally stop smelling like perfumer's alcohol and become what we know as a "fragrance". The stinging that this fragrance gives my nose stays for a while but finally becomes less intense in the drydown when a half-baked pimento and highly synthetic oud show up. The oud in this smells so commercial, it should be criminal that this perfume is anything above $100. The fresh and dark notes in this are clashing heavily. Bright, fuzzy, aldehydes are jumbled up with green notes, thick spices and an oud rose combination. Is this an spicy oriental oud-rose or a classic chypre? What in the world does this fragrance want to be...? Something that is at least somewhat of a relief is that it has familiarity with me in the far dry-down. Nawab of Oudh slightly reminds me of Black to Black by Mancera. But frankly, and surprisingly, the hard to find Mancera smells better blended with a much smoother opening that does not smell like perfumer's alcohol and settles more gracefully with a jammy, zesty rose and a big, leathery, oud combo that is thicker with more body and soul. Nawab of Oud is too fuzzy and chemical smelling and has blessed me with a headache for singing its praises. I was coming in with high hopes for this brand but so far I am not a fan of Ormonde Jayne... Darn... 6.5/10
Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum (2016) Guerlain (Freeman77)
A great citrusy opening, and a vibe similar to L'instant de Guerlain, but then develops towards lime, mint, and rum in the mid, whereas LdG develops towards cacao and patchouli. Mind you I do see patchouli in GHs note breakdown. After an hour I'm surprisingly picking up Bleu de Chanel edp! Wow! I'm not complaining! For a third of the price, its a steal! It projects for 1.5-2hrs, could do more, depending on the body heat or climate heat, and then is a skin scent for about 6-8hrs. All things considered, an 8/10 for me :)
Oud Satin Mood Extrait de parfum Maison Francis Kurkdjian (Irenicus)
Heed the warnings of the other reviewers about how strongly this fragrance projects. I just tested a sample at work, and now my entire office smells like turkish delight! The scent is perfect and projection is incredible, but this definitely leans feminine.
Pepe Jeans For Him Cocktail Pepe Jeans London (StiffSniff)
The most awful fragrance I've ever smelled. Cant believe this was ever put into production. Its offensive and never drys down to anything better than the opening smell which is horrible.
Coco Mademoiselle Chanel (Katie <3)
An elegant fragrance. This suits me very well at 32, a sophisticated scent, yet not overly mature and heavy. I love the blend of citrus, patchouli and rose- light, fresh, slightly sweet and pretty. I am glad I chose Coco Mademoiselle.
Liebchen Andromeda's Curse (Mc13Kenzie)
Love this one!! A cuddly little licorice with creamy undertones. Meant to evoke kitten fur, something I think they've managed nicely, if not in a literal sense. It's warm and fuzzy.
Modern Muse Estée Lauder (Azisai-)
This one surprised me! Opening was a little nice but boring at first, your typical sweet mandarin spritz...the drydown is was got me. So far from designer fragrances, this is the most realistic honeysuckle I have ever felt. It's just so...raw? Fresh jasmine and honeysuckle, almost as if I could feel the petals pressing against my nose. It's quite linear after it dries down, stays shockingly real honeysuckle forever more until it fades away, but that's fine by me because it's lovely. I kinda want this now simply for that vivid jasmine/honeysuckle note, reminds me of the countryside in the summer when all those flowers are blooming and you can feel them while you're on an afternoon stroll through a meadow. Romantic, but realistic.
Aura Mugler Mugler (SSAP)
Starts off as a menthal-vanilla on my skin then dries down into a cool green vanilla. Longevity is amazing. In a world of floral sweet perfumes, this find is a true gem for me. Super refreshing, not not too cold. I can wear this all year round. No negatives. Love Mugler perfumes.
Circus Fantasy Britney Spears (Bkboynxtdoor)
I have always loved this one, and tonight I tested out my bottle I’ve had just sitting in a drawer for a while. Sweet and fresh, not particularly in a cheap way like the other fantasies. Out of all the fantasies, this one probably aged the best to me. It’s still wearable and fun, it doesn’t take itself too seriously but it’s not as much of a hot mess as og fantasy.
Cashmere Mist Pure Cashmere Donna Karan (PinkRainbow)
This is a true treasure. So well blended, and soft as a cashmere sweater on a snowy afternoon. The notes are subtle, but the longevity and silage are excellent-- just very delicate as not to knock you over! A great candidate for a signature scent as it leaves a creamy trail, soft as angel wings, behind.
Daisy Love Marc Jacobs (TheLB)
Just purchased, I really enjoy this flanker. It’s not complex nor does it project far and wide but it smells good. It’s safe for the office where people might be picky about scents. As a person with allergies, it’s inoffensive. It’s a nice every day wear, no fuss. It sits close to the skin fairly quickly, but I don’t mind that.
Vision in a Dream Psychedelic Clive Christian (BlueMoon)
BUBBLEGUM + FUNK A challenging fragrance. (Thus the name.) I get a sweet bubblegum on the opening which over time continues to peek its head out. As we move into the heart and dry down, there is this unusual 'funky' note that persists. It's in the sour category - but I am unsure whether it's floral or citrus or oud (or all three). Definitely NOT a blind buy. I won't buy this (I don't do sour) - but what a fascinating (psychedelic) journey!
Another 13 Le Labo (AnastasiaS)
This is indescribable, heavenly, definitely a signature scent. I get so many compliments from everybody, it projects strongly but you gotta overspray. I had it on my bathrobe even after the laundry. I notice some people sniffing me and going feral. I can’t stop smelling myself either. But I guess it gotta do a lot with body chemistry. On me it opens musky, lactonic/creamy, but very clean not powdery, fresh, sweet but not floral sweet neither gourmand sweet. Very feminine. However when my mom tried it on it was just salty and basically the smell of sweat, very animalic. In the bottle or blotter it gives me electronic/white noise smell if one existed. Definitely not a blind buy but if it works on your skin IT WORKS.
V Lush (Enigmatic)
Bewitching and mesmerizing! Imagine a beautiful gothic enchantress brewing a love potion in the woods on All Hallow's Eve. You can smell the creamy sweet violet and spices dancing in the air. The greenery and wooden walls come to life. Think Jessica Galbreth's art. Lolita Lempicka's Minuit/Midnight line is often lauded as the best Halloween scent. I personally think LL is too candy-like and not mysterious enough. V - however - is a haunting dark violet fragrance that is perfect for fall. The closest perfume I can think of is Kerbside Violet, minus the concrete scent (i.e. that astringent Swedish bitters note). If you're craving an enchanting and spooky (but still pretty) perfume, you must try this out! Notes according to my nose (in order of prominence): Ionone, cedar, cloves, ylang ylang, violet leaf
Halloween Man Hero Halloween (fructoze_productions)
The initial spray and first 30 minutes it smells very strongly like a laundry detergent and is pretty harsh to the nose, but it gets better after it dries. To me this is exactly what i'm getting from this, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense EDT + Soapy Prada + Blue De Chanel EDP. This starts off smelling like Armaf's CDNI with some aquatic/marine notes, then as it dries down it starts to smell more like a soapy fresh prada type fragrance mixed with blue de chanel, its basically blue de chanel with a citrus kick to it after 1 hour. Also don't buy this unless its under $45 i've seen a bunch of sites trying to sell this for way over 70-80 and it's not worth that
Cedrat Boise Mancera (KC_Tack)
What a complete disappointment. Just received my full bottle of Cedrat Boise from AuraFragrance. I guess today I get to be one of the unlucky ones to get a bad, reformulated or improperly stored bottle like so many below. Wears extremely light and soft. I have to bury my nose and sniff pretty hard to even get a trace that it was there after an hour our so. Something I never thought I'd say about a Mancera. Batch code 20H237B isn't showing up on CheckFresh, but w/ the 20 I'm guessing it's a 2020?? It does has the non-magnetic twist cap. Bummer. Hope some of you are enjoying your well performing bottles. Why does there have to be so much uncertainty and chance when buying one bottle from another of the same fragrance?? A plague on the industry...
Lady Million Fabulous Paco Rabanne (ceeceelee)
I love the solar note combined with the vanilla in this. I get the tonka, solar and then vanilla, not the tuberose but it's there just blended very nicely. The moss gives it just a bit of a dusty note, stopping this from being a love. But what caught and held my attention was that solar note, well done here. I also really like the perfumer, Anne Flipo. To me it smells nothing like the other Lady Millions, they have an animalic note I don't get along with. Also, the vanilla in this is nothing like Good Girl, don't get that comparison at all. But we all smell odor molecules differently, so I'd say not a safe blind buy. Strong like that may turn into a love. I don't care for the bottle.
Guerlain Homme Eau de Parfum (2016) Guerlain (alenarjad)
Digging this one. As a new fragrance nerd, I’m trying out what are considered classics. Despite meandering through the ‘classics’, I’m still interested in something unique that stands out from the stereotypical fragrance feel. This definitely does it for me. At the start… LIME!! Mainly fresh squeezed lime juice but with a hint of the zest to give it sophistication. The mint is shortly followed to make the wonderful mojito duo come through. Not getting much rum, although it’s there. Just not a ‘boozy’ rum to my nose. After some time, I’m getting slight floral notes but more so the green and woodiness/vetiver coming through. Despite many of the notes I mentioned having a bite (a pleasant one nonetheless) the overall feel is surprisingly fresh. I think the earthiness and patchouli comes through in the dry down for me but it’s pretty faint. I think that could be that my skin eats it up. Getting more of those notes on paper. Overall, I see this as a very mature yet playful summertime fragrance. I kind of want to smell dark, smokey, woody, and spicy all the time but this is helpful in changing my mind and opening me up to understand why alternating between fragrances based on season can be fun and satisfying.

Angélique Noire Guerlain (ceeceelee)
Oh, Oh, Oh, if this just lasted a little bit longer on me.................It smells amazing to my nose. Beautiful, powdery, green vanilla. I know someone compared it to Vanille Exquise by Annick Goutal, but that one doesn't have enough angelica. It's gone in an instant. This one stays until the end, even if that end is way too soon for me. I don't know if it's my skin or the perfume bc other Guerlains made in the same time period last just fine on me.
Vanille Exquise Annick Goutal (ceeceelee)
The reviewer below me, Manya3, is spot on. My only wish is that there was a little bit more angelica. Just a touch, so it lasted longer in the beginning, otherwise, just perfect.
Fahrenheit Dior (chi moca)
Legendary perfume from man side Through reformulations but still awesome From the vintage formulation with sharp gasoline and now soft gasoline more leather and lavender... Fahrenheit still great. Just like kouros ysl this Fahrenheit dior is unique .. Legend.. And very good on performance
Heritage Eau de Parfum Guerlain (KwMoy)
Too much complexity and archaism in this perfume. I tried to simplify the equation by imagining that this perfume is about spices mixed with orange. But it is definitely ways beyond that. I hate it when a scent makes me dying to remember where did we meet. I got a sharp memory but this scent must have been around when my brain was developing. It’s very familiar to my nose but not to my memory. I just noted that this perfume was made in the same year that I born in. This could be a whimsical idea. Well, it’s just got similar group of notes that we usually get in 90’s 80’s bottles like Korus and balenciaga pour homme. These notes are “oakmoss+Musk+woods+lemon+pepper+cinnamon+Coriander “ Heritage from my opinion is smothered with flowers and extra amber, makes it more wearable than his peers. The other two are very loud.
Nautica Life Nautica (a_c_thompson)
Fresh, green, and slightly spicy. When you put your nose to your skin, it's gonna smell really synthetic. But coming off your skin, it's a nice smell. Like the majority of Nautica fragrances, this isn't gonna have a long life on your skin. But it is gonna do a good job for the price category. I use this as an "out of the shower scent" and I really like it for that. If you were just gonna run a quick errand on a warm day, and needed a cheap scent to use, this would be an excellent choice.
Caramel Overdose Be Layered (@Love.Afrykah)
This is slightly reminiscent of Love by Killian. The complexity of LDBS is definitely not found in this bottle this is definitely a very linear scent while LBDS has so many facets to it that some sniffs give me orange creamsicle, another would give me the sticky sweetness of the fragrances caramel and sugar, another sniff is get a cola type smell, sweet tarts etc etc. Orange blossom, neroli, sugar, caramel, white florals they all come out to play. Caramel overdose is a orange blossom and sweet fragrance that stays that way definitely doesn’t take you on a journey. I feel like LBDS is so sweet that it’s too much at times while this sweetness is definitely bearable. If LBDS was too sickeningly sticky sweet for you then this would be a fantastic option. I layered this one note fragrance with Amalfi Sunray from Zara x Jo Loves which lists bergamot, orange blossom and mandarin orange as the notes and they layered fantastically together. Overall I’m not disappointed with this fragrance.
Dali Parfum de Toilette Salvador Dali (TabledThoughts)
Definitely an "old school" style fragrance with a note list that reads like everything but the kitchen sink. Purchased for the extremely nifty bottle, I wasn't wrong blind buying knowing the juice wouldn't be my style. The complete drydown kinda reminds me of Indian Amber Incense.
Yerbamate Lorenzo Villoresi (Mississippi Mudcat)
Ok folks if you want to know precisely what Yerbamate smells like, then please scroll down and read alphairone's review below. I did and decided to blind buy Yerbamate because it sounded exactly like what I was searching for in a fragrance. Well after buying Yerbamate and wearing it, I have to say that alphairone was SPOT ON in his description and analysis! If you like grassy, earthy, refined and powdery fragrances, then you will love Yerbamate just like I do!!! Thank you alphairone for your excellent review man and keep up the good work!!!
Pretty As a Peach Bath and Body Works (sweettheories)
A pretty fruity floral scent, very light and fresh. At the first spray, I get the nectarine and freesia in particular. Perfect for warm weather, maybe not acrid heat; the florals lay just beneath the fruitiness and are not cloying until you crank up the temperature. When layered with the matching body lotion it yields more sweetness.
La Panthère Parfum Cartier (noisome)
I wish this would've claimed a different territory. All I can think of is Serge Lutens' Daim Blond and how much better it is than this. That said it's a step in the right direction for "mainstream" scent.
Reflection Man Amouage (ikea50)
Smells amazing but performance is terrible. It’s literally the worst performing frag I’ve ever owned. I have a newer Oman version with magnetic cap. It is a skin scent after an hour and completely gone after 3 hours. I cannot recommend this as a result.
Fume Hendley Perfumes (ecojoe69)
I can understand the comparisons to Norne and Jake but this is WAY more smokey at the start. How is smoke NOT a note in the pyramid? On my skin, t starts off mostly smoke and not in a good, wearable way but then the pine and resins shine through which is really where the beauty lies. I think I remember A City on Fire and it seems to remind me of that sort of smoke rather than Jeke or Norne. As much as I would love to recommend this, it just seems to bbq, smokey. I really do want to love it since I love Norne and Jeke.
Library Solstice Scents (Eve_of_the_End)
So, I think it's time I start reviewing my bottles of Solstice Scents.. First let me say this, I love this company! They make some really good, damn good fragrances.. And I'm here to tell ya.. Library is absolutely gorgeous. For me the Dry-down.. is what I adore.. I somewhat consider myself being an "Antique Introvert" and this stuff resonates with me very well. Secluded with a warm candle, my journal, an overwhelming quiet atmosphere.. My lil pussy cats bugging me and biting my ankles while I write my poetry.. It's for those quiet souls.. Not keen on making an impression on the world.. What they really want is to escape it.. Notes are notes to me.. and honestly, I like saying how fragrances make me feel. Isn't that the goal of them.. To take you far away somewhere.. To bring you serenity? Empower you? Make you feel dirty an sexual? Or is just to put your soul and heart at ease? And essentially that's Library's intention.. And for me they have done that and I couldn't be more grateful for having this in my collection until my dying days.. All together, It's fairly priced. Lasts long, projects well and is a utter delight.. What more could you ask for from a niche fragrance.. 10/10.
Missoni Wave Missoni (Darkstar _ Destroyer)
I'm not the biggest fan of blue fragrances, but this one is pretty darn good! Smooth, not a calone bomb. Really good performance for a summer frag. And that great magnetic cap. I really like Missoni Wave.
Sundrunk Imaginary Authors (peppermoon)
Super tart tart opening that smells like tangerine juice and rhubarb. Then it transitions to more of a juicy sweet- but still tart- scent. Color: neon pink and orange. It could be a nicely simple and tangy citrus scent for hot weather, but unfortunately there’s something very sharp that ruins it for me. Something in the neroli/petit grain aromachems make me have a headache.
PHI Une Rose de Kandahar Tauer Perfumes (SharellS)
I tried a 5ml sample first in winter. It was a strong like but I just couldn't make myself buy a FB as the tobacco note was a tad too obvious on my skin. Fast forward..it's summer and I am in love with this one! Can't stop sniffing my arm, it has longevity of 5 - 6 hrs on my skin and I get a whiff of it every now and then when I wave my hands. Had to buy FB. It's a unique fragrance. Definitely try before you commit!
Jazz Yves Saint Laurent (JmThms)
This is NOT a classic Fougere! Despite the proclamations below that it is. There is way too much floral contribution in the heart, and not enough straight out green note contribution. There is way too much indiscriminate use of the term "fougere". It does have lavender, the "indespensible Fougere note" (other than green notes simulating the imaginary Fern smell). It does have the oakmoss. Fougere-like would be OK. Or the Spicy-floral fougere given below would be OK. But it's not a classic Fougere. And yes, I am the self-annointed fougere police.
Egyptian Musk Kuumba Made (Ensconce-in-Bloom)
Kuumba Made Egyptian Musk is the BB or CC cream of fragrance oils. Its fragrance is intimate. It projects and is most beautiful when worn in warm, hot, humid weather. On my skin, it is creamy, figgy, fruity sweetness mixed with white musk. Although don’t care much for white musk, it is well balanced here. To truly experience this fragrance, it MUST be worn during the warm/hot humid time. It will bloom.
Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum Roberto Cavalli (KumoKing)
It's a very beautiful artificial vanilla fragrance housed in a sandcastle made of brown sugar. It's nice. The opening is the best part in my opinion. Sadly, that lasts only about 15 seconds. The rest is a nice vanilla but a bit sharp in a way that pokes at the back of my nose. I wish the vanilla was softer, deeper, creamier, more natural. My roommates did compliment it. But it's just OK to me.
S by Shakira Eau Florale Shakira (Thatoneperfumer)
I bought this for sole reason of nostalgia reminds me of my childhood and it’s a super sweet red berries with musk Fragrance. I hold this cheap little perfume close to my heart
Club de Nuit Intense Man Armaf (angremedios14)
I had an edp 2020 decant and it was phenomenal. The scent, sillage and longevity was above beyond my expectations. So I bought an edp 2021 batch but was underwhelmed. The longevity is horrible, 20 mins projection then skin scent for 2 hours. Scent is still good though but I was really disappointed with how long it lasts. Vibrant leather has more lasting power than this bottle that I've had purchased.
Tuca Tuca Lush (angienotesjunkie)
No other violet fragrance has ever come close to my beloved Tuca Tuca, not through lack of searching. I have a few precious drops left in the pen vial they used to sell and half of a push-up solid perfume. Starts as a fresh, sweet burst of violet, mimosa, cassis, vanilla. The earthy, woodier notes come forward, predominantly violet leaf, supported by the lingering sweetness of the initial spray. Within an hour, the sweet and fresh has morphed into a strong, dark, seductive, intoxicating, gothic violet ❤️ I mourn the fact this beautiful scent was discontinued and regularly check to see if it's been resurrected. I can dream...
Mississippi Medicine D.S. & Durga (ajax11)
In the opening, it's pine shrouded in a sharply herbal, cold, medicinal juniper accord. As the herbality fades over the next hour or so, MM turns subtly pleasantly resinous; it's what you smell climbing too high up a fir tree when you're twelve. This is where I get smoky incense, although it's more a supporting character, I wouldn't call this an "incense" fragrance exactly -- personally I don't find it churchy at all. At about the same time, an aldehydic soapiness blended very subtly with sweet spectral violets starts to open up. I like it in small doses, but the aldehydes do make me queasy with more than 1-2 sprays. After a few hours, what's left is photorealistic pale bone-dry pine plank (it really smells exactly like a freshly sawn 2x4) floating over a mild transparent soapiness. It smells clean fresh and neutral without disappearing completely. I'd call it minimalist; not the most dynamic composition, but it's unique, and interesting enough that it took me a few weeks to wrap my mind around it. I really like it; I wear this to work a lot.
Montecristo Masque Milano (parfums d'obscurite)
Kouros was bragging about his evil deeds on a corner of a YSL boutique when Delphine Thierry came, grabbed him by his dirty sexy long hair, dragged him all the way back to hell, offering him as a sacrifice for the birth of Montecristo. A short review: Montecristo is a dry animalic musk (castoreum, hyrax) with photorealistic cigar smokiness and a touch of cold honey. It's kind of airy and austere in the beginning with the rum and the top woody arochems before becoming richer, sexier and more filthy/sensual in a matter of minutes. It lasts a long time (8 hours+) and stays close to skin for most of it.
Hawas for Her Rasasi (Kellergirl)
This smells just like La Vie Est Belle by Lancome, except a bit less sweet. This is really nice. I bought a 3.4 oz. bottle on ebay for $8! What a great price! If you love sweet scents, you will love this. Just don't overspray. Two sprays are enough, at least on me.
Meliora Parfums de Marly (Mistdragon01)
On my skin, the dry down smelled *exactly* like a Strawberry Shortcake doll from the 1980s, which honestly makes me unable to stop sniffing at my arm! The nostalgia pull was very strong. Enjoyable, light, fun, and whimsical.
Feuilles (Leaves) DSH Perfumes (starsnek)
A lovely grapefruit-rose with a satisfyingly green dry down. It's somewhat soapy in the opening, which is generally just the way rose smells on me. The middle does have a leafy smell, with the rose turning more sweet...still very natural though. There's nothing synthetic about this scent. It makes me think of the leaves on a bouquet of roses, like when I'm cutting stems to make the flowers fit in a vase. This perfume is perfect for spring, summer, and fall days.
Dunhill for Men Alfred Dunhill (FloralBread)
Here is one spicy lemon! 🍋 I can't tell if this leans more fresh or dry - there is a warm cozy hum that the nutmeg and woods provide. And yet the fleeting citrus from the beginning doesn't fully abandon it in the dry down. This contrast is quite enjoyable. Upon first use, I've found it was not very complex or noteworthy. A bit "dusty" and musty with the simplicity of a citrus based spice (it reminded me of moth balls or a grandparent's dried out bathroom freshener). I imagine this is mainly the vetiver speaking, but after 20 minutes it smooths itself into a creamier nutmeg. This doesn't come off as a gourmand/food-like though, more like the bowl of dried fruits and cinnamon you'd find in a potpourri. Even though I can't help but compare it to an elderly house last updated in the 1970s, it also delivers that sense of comfort and nostalgia. If you think too hard about what you're smelling, it's easy to say this might be dated. But overall it's just so good and comforting. This fragrance makes me feel happy, and I'm happy to wear it! It's not as exciting or uniquely niche as others, but it does seem interesting to me with this well-blended passage from striking crisp lemons to a buzz of spices. I usually prefer a refreshing floral citrus (ex: Eau Sauvage's subtle lavender and lemon) though I'm surprised to find Dunhill for Men sits along with my current favourites, with a bit more of a bite to offer than the others. This fragrance has a natural smell to it, so I don't think it'd become headache inducing. Though the dryness of the woody spices are what might become "stuffy" if over-sprayed indoors - maybe more for weekend leisures than the office. I feel like this would be a great cool weather alternative to a citrus scent if you also enjoy those!
Baccarat Rouge 540 Maison Francis Kurkdjian (ELB78)
I bought a small sample to see how I feel about this one, after hearing so much about it. So far it reminds of the smell of walking into a clean indoor pool area. Like at a hotel. It’s not unpleasant, but I don’t feel like I’m wearing a fragrance. Confused along with others about the hype.
Blossom Love Amouage (Ocohen)
No... no way someone smells like this!! What is in there that makes it smell like an old rusty grandparents attic full of moths combined with huggies baby wipes? !! This is scary to my nose. Traumatized . People on here very generous with their comments for this one. Sorry for those who enjoy it. It’s my personal opinion. I’m sure ppl can pull this off and I would prob compliment them without knowing it’s this fragrance .
Love Tuberose Amouage (anni_cola)
I really thought I would love Love Tuberose. White florals and whipped cream sounded like such a dream that I got ahead of myself and blind bought a full bottle. I will admit that I can tell this perfume is blended beautifully. On my skin however, there's no other way I can describe it besides sterile. Whatever creaminess I do get is quickly overpowered by the animalic qualities on my skin. Politely put, I smell like a hospital. Clean and somewhat welcoming, but with a tinge of something not quite right that never goes away. I had high hopes but I believe it's probably best to cut my losses and pass this bottle along. Perhaps I'll have better luck with Blossom Love or Lilac Love.
Olympéa Intense Paco Rabanne (anni_cola)
I really wanted to like this however I don't think the Olympea DNA is for me. Olympea Intense is strong and I love a good strong perfume, but on me it tends to pulls scratchy and itches at my throat. This is the first perfume I've had this reaction to. Besides that, on my skin it was all salty amber with no vanilla to pull it together. However, I passed this perfume on to my sister and she loves it. She finds that it's a bit more unique and doesn't come off as a department store perfume. She likes that it has a bit of a masculine edge. I'll admit that it matches her body chemistry better than I and that goes to show how personal of an experience fragrance is. I would recommend anyone interested in any of the Olympeas to sample beforehand.
The Key Justin Bieber (LMC27)
I blind bought this based on these reviews. £10 - nothing to lose. And I’m so glad I did. This, to my nose, is Gucci Flora eau Fraiche - but better. Lasting power is great (4 hours) considering I paid so little. Very pleased it’s part of my collection!
Roasted Coffee Cigarette Whisky Come And Get Your Suede Honey Baby Strangers Parfumerie (michaeld2986)
Coffee, Whisky, and Tobacco! These are the main players throughout the life of the fragrance. First, it's a little more expensive that some of the other fragrances in Prin's collection because it's an extrait de parfum, so it's more concentrated. If you liked coffee fragrances with a little added kick, then you should try this one out. It projects very well for the first three hours and then it starts to sit closer to the skin, yet I wouldn't classify it as an intimate fragrance by any means. Longevity is very good too! I was catching whiffs of it 8 hours later. I wore this in an air conditioned building all day and I will say this fragrance is more appropriate for the cooler weather. It's unisex and very nice if you like dark coffee fragrances. I don't see this as a mass appealing fragrance, so proceed with caution if you are thinking of blind buying. I'm pleased with this purchase and I can't wait to wear it in the autumn weather.
Dunhill Edition Alfred Dunhill (NikosN)
Dunhill Edition is a masterpiece. You can wear it anytime of: the year, the day. Sweet, aromatic, woody, little bit smoky, masculine. Respect to Dunhill house that have managed to provide us masculine fragrances because we got tired by those unisex crap of modernity.
Island Vanilla Pacifica (anni_cola)
This is a very simple vanilla scent. In college this was my signature scent and would wear it to brunches, class, and orientations. It's non offensive and cute and people were able to recognize that this is what I smelled like. This is is the scent of a pleasant friendly and comforting person. I do remembering having to carry around a rollerball to touch up throughout the day. I've considered adding this back to my collection, but perhaps I should leave it back in my younger college years.
Rose Jam Body Spray Lush (angienotesjunkie)
This is one scent that has always been on my dresser since it was released. To me it's such an uplifting, clarifying, grounding fragrance. Sillage and longevity are seriously impressive, so go lightly with the trigger! I get 10+ hours on skin but on fabric it will last forever. I like to use this or Twilight on bed linen. Sweet jammy rose with a dash of lemon and honey. The geranium and Tonka are present. It's possibly that combination that gives some the "dolls head" impression, though I don't get that. For me it doesn't evolve at all. It reminds me of Turkish Delight! Try layering with Choco Musk ❤️ This actually projects better and outlasts the perfume version. The solid perfume is not a good option as it stains EVERYTHING it touches. Both the 30ml EDP and the superior performing Body spray 200ml cost £25, so I would absolutely recommend the BS over the EDP. I love that there are so many products available with the same scent too. Shower gel, soap, Bubble bar, body conditioner, shampoo bar, hair conditioner, even a facemask and lip balm. If you're a rose lover and happen to come across a Lush store, I highly recommend stepping in and giving it a try :D
Dolce Dolce&Gabbana (MiniMena)
To be honest I didn't know what to expect. I had put this fragrance on my wish list and blind bought it today at Marshalls. I thought it must be nice because I mostly saw positive reviews. But for me it depends on the way it smells on my skin....and ....its beautiful! A nice calming scent which could probably be worn every day for any occasion Great blind buy! It very much reminds me of the original Avon Haiku perfume that I used to wear and the first few minutes reminds me of Issey Miyake EDT. I'm so glad I have this in my collection!
Opulent Oud Lattafa Perfumes (Eve_of_the_End)
Pheww, damn I thought Montale was nuclear.. My Lord.. My bottle of Opulent Oud came in earlier today and I think I'm ready to give it a Thumbs up! Since I'm a big fan of Arabian Nights by Jesus Del Pozo I can't help but get just a faint similarity on intial opening.. So that was a pleasant reminder. It's just taken away by the floral notes. Idk about the other reviewers here. But I have a strong nose for saffron and here its pretty intense. In the dry-down it settles a bit and becomes the woodsy, resinous musk i enjoy... But damn is it potent. Atleast for me.. Project, Sillage, Longevity, are all top top tier and for the price point.. That is honestly incredible.. and appreciated.. Just acouple of things, Idk about the others but this stuff gives me Olfactory Fatigue incredibly fast.. Just like "Oud For Greatness" And I have heard this can produce headaches.. I haven't gotten a headache since I tried it. But I only sprayed once on my wrist.. And honestly that was plenty.. Two sprays is honestly filling up the room.. It's that strong.. Verdict I'd give a solid 8/10.
Unisex For Everybody Fragrance One (A.K.48004L)
I hoped that Jeremy takes a different way with his brand, other than hunting a mass appealing successful fragrances and made a fragrances in the same genre. His idea really not bad and may help in some cases, but he leans more toward the companies that their first goal is profit “ I’m not saying this is bad thing “ especially if it worth it, and also makes the prices higher. I hoped he brings something new to the table an artistic more and new more that really etching his brand in a new direction, again I’m not saying this is a bad think, totally his right to present and totally our right to choose. The fragrances that I bought in general from his brand they were nice likable familiar and perform really good. Maybe in the future we will see something nice, and yes even some big companies sneakingly try to catch and made their own version “copycat or so ” from a successful fragrances, obviously this is the struggle to gain more profit. a passion for a scent, blending, creating this is another story. All the best. The aforementioned was only an opinion and a hope.
Club De Nuit Armaf (MimesOtto)
I bought it due to the comparison with CM- I have to say, it is a nice scent for the price, don't get your expectation high though.if you want to get the CM vibe, 50% i.e. then get it, it is decent especially if you're on a budget..I don't believe in dupes and have yet to come across something that wows me..
Carlisle Parfums de Marly (luv2monkey)
After trying multiple offerings from PDM, I realize their fragrances are not for me. They seem to make “spray-and-go” fragrances, ones that are meant to be put on and worn out, not smelled up close. I have no animosity towards the house, and I would never judge the huge number of people who enjoy it. I just don’t understand the appeal, no matter how hard I try. The word that best describes Carlisle is “messy.” The opening of this fragrance is BRUTAL. You are immediately hit with a confusing mix of incredibly synthetic woods/patchouli, thick tonka bean, vanilla, tobacco (which reminds me more of cigarette tobacco than good pipe tobacco), sharp apple, “wintery” spices, and a bizarre green note. If it sounds like these notes could maybe work well together, believe me, they don’t. I cannot stand the first 30-45 minutes of this fragrance, especially if I’m smelling it from less than a good six inches away. After about 1-1.5 hours on my skin, this does become more enjoyable. That weird, sharp green note seems to subside, and the whole blend decides to calm down. At this stage, it reminds me of a thicker, more intense version of Layton. As more time progresses, it settles into a vanilla/tonka/spice concoction, which is quite pleasant in the air around you, though still noticeably synthetic. Unfortunately, the drydown does not salvage this fragrance for me. The opening always leaves a bad taste in my mouth (sometimes literally, as this stuff is STRONG), and it doesn’t make sense to spend this kind of money on fragrance that is so obnoxious for such a long time. I recommend sampling Carlisle before you take the full-bottle plunge. You may be one of the many who love it, and if that’s the case, you’re in luck. This stuff has ridiculously beastly performance, and it will likely last you for years. You will never ever ever need more than 1-3 sprays, and you’re an absolute menace to society of you do any more!
Coach Blue Coach (ZckPtrsn87)
Very nice smelling shower gel like lime opening with some ozonic notes. I couldn't tell you the base scents because it's almost completely gone inside an hour on my skin. At discount it's an ok buy, but it's very weak. If you can get this for like $20 then go ahead. For what it is, I'd recommend Nautica Voyage N-83 instead. N-83 has better longevity and sillage. Absolutely a "carry it with you" fragrance.
Encre Noire Sport Lalique (krazyrandy)
This was a blind buy after I reading all the reviews on this website. I do not regret it one bit. For the price, this cologne is bargain. It smells great, perfect for spring and summer seasons.
Chateau, 1970 Thin Wild Mercury (keyshaedreana)
First, I would like to say that the creator of these fragrances did a FANTASTIC job capturing the "vintage" smell in her collection. This one in particular smells exactly like an old armoire stuffed with vintage Gunne Sax dresses and untouched eyelet blouses. I sell vintage clothes, so this one reminds me of antiquing and the "musty" smell that comes with that experience. However, I was surprised that this one wasn't my favorite from her collection. There is too much musk for this to be wearable every single day. Not terrible by any means, but this one smells too antiquated for my personal collection.
Elie Saab Le Parfum Rose Couture Elie Saab (MimesOtto)
Do not waste your money, this is very faint and fleeting scent. It is nice rose water, nothing special, alas, too light with no lasting power-I wasted $ on this, will give it away!
